Lindab is an international group that develops, manufactures, markets and distributes products and system solutions primarily in steel for buildings and indoor climate. With TightVent Europe, we learn more about the process of building airtight and energy efficient buildings; we fine-tune our product range by networking with suppliers confronted with the same issues. Our ambition is to transfer this knowledge all the way to building owners, architects/consultants, construction companies and workers.
MEZ-TECHNIK is a worldwide operating family business known for a wide range of innovative solutions and services for high end commercial air duct systems. We work together with consultants, air duct manufacturers, installers, duct cleaners and energy efficiency companies. MEZ offers manufacturing products, installation materials, chemical products, software solutions and air duct cleaning equipment to the market. Since the revolutionary invention of the MEZ-FLANGE-SYSTEM to connect rectangular ductwork by a flange system, we constantly push and change the market and it’s methods of manufacturing and installation on the behalf of better and more efficient rectangular air duct systems. As exclusive representative of AEROSEAL LLC, our sealing technology currently transforms the ductwork process chain to the next most effective and efficient level which you can reach in air duct systems today again. With our unique sealing technology we care about the retrofit of existing ventilation systems in Europe, in the same way we do for new constructions and reduce leakage of air duct systems to nearly zero including all components of a system. By doing this, we can provide a high benefit in terms of IAQ improvement and CO2 reduction in the world.

ACIN instrumenten founded in 1965, 30 people, is developer, manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of measurement and control equipment for the physical properties of air. One of its main products are air pressure control valves for the gas safe zone in naval vessels. Within Tightvent we are best known for the FF-mk2 launched in 2011 and successor of the FlowFinder, the first zero pressure compensated air flow meter on the market (1986). In cooperation with TNO we developed and launched the AirTightnessTester, the ATT (patent TNO) for a quick check of envelop airtightness using the ventilation system of the house. We also launched in 2021 the new VentiFlow-mk2, a passive flowhood with a patented flow straightener for air flow measurements up to 100m3/hr, supply and exhaust on almost all types of valves used in domestic ventilation. Since 2020, we also have a new 99.9% airtight measurement and calibration lab containing our measurement tunnel for volume flow and to check blowerdoors and our ATT. In 2022 we aim to be ISO17025 accredited for our volume flow measurements. Finally, in cooperation with LeakWorkx, we have developed a system called UltraGraphyx, to search for and ´photograph´ cracks and fissures in structures using ultrasound.
BCCA is a multidisciplinary certification body based in Belgium, operating in the construction sector, essentially offering services on request from all sectors, federal or regional authorities and even individual companies. BCCA was founded in 1992. Historically, BCCA has always been particularly active in the fields of buildings, civil engineering (bridges) and sewerage, covering all the techniques used in these fields. A detailed list of certificates and attestations can be found on our website (www.bcca.be). Air tightness and ventilation are important activities for BCCA in different ways. We run a quality framework for airtightness testing and one for residential ventilation systems in the Flemish Region in which we certify the competence and measurement equipment of airtightness testers and ventilation reporters and we randomly inspect their airtightness tests and reporting on ventilation systems in dwellings. Furthermore, BCCA performs attestations for the EPB product database for fans, ventilation units and demand controlled ventilation systems.”
Since 1989, BlowerDoor GmbH has been a pioneer in the fields of airtightness, especially airtightness measurements, and BlowerDoor product design in Europe. Synergies in engineering, product development and training have made the Minneapolis BlowerDoor a high quality device for air tightness measurements all over the world. BlowerDoor GmbH actively supports TightVent to achieve a good and durable quality in building air tightness as one important criterion to reach the ambitious goals of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) recast.
Build Test Solutions (BTS) is a UK based technology manufacturing business dedicated to driving innovation in building performance measurement. We are driven to change buildings for the better by providing the means to measure and act on as-built performance. To do this, we develop game-changing equipment and software solutions for a wide range of stakeholders in construction, renovation and home improvement sectors. Specifically in line with the work of Tightvent, we have worked with the University of Nottingham in the UK to bring to market a novel low pressure compressed air based method of measuring building air leakage. Unlike conventional steady state techniques, this dynamically measures air leakage rates directly at 4Pa with a short burst of air, a pressure level that closely resembles day-to-day ambient conditions. We also host tools used for measuring the thermal performance of buildings, indoor air quality and ventilation performance. Build Test Solutions strongly supports the work of TightVent and the efforts of the wider membership in advocating the importance of building and ductwork airtightness in achieving healthy, sustainable low energy buildings.
Since 2010, dooApp is a software editor specialized on building controls. Our ambition is to provide professionals in the sector with reliable, efficient and ergonomic tools to support them in the challenge of the energy transition in buildings. Our software Infiltrea is the leader in France on the market of airtightness control of the building envelope and the verification of ventilation systems. Our FireProtection solution, marketed in partnership with BlowerDoor GmbH, is designed for airtightness testing in the context of fire suppression. We hope to bring to TightVent Europe our unique expertise both at the building and digital level and to support TightVent’s ambitions through digital technology. |
