Building airtightness improvements in the UK building stock
During the TightVent-AIVC webinar Building airtightness improvements of the building stock- Analysis of European databases held on 19 January 2021, Barry Cope, the CEO of the Building Compliance Testers Association (BCTA) provided an analysis of the ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing & Measurement Association) airtightness lodgement Database. Significant amounts of data gathered from 2015 to 2020 were presented in charts, showing the lodgement count by month (dwellings, non-dwellings), the average air permeability by year (AP50, dwellings), the percentage of construction type (dwellings), the construction type and average air permeability (dwellings), and the ventilation type by year.
