TAAC meeting in Sophia-Antipolis
The TightVent Airtightness Associations Committee (TAAC) met in Sophia-Antipolis on September 20 2018, right after the 39th AIVC & 7th TightVent conference. The meeting took place in the premises of the French Agency for Energy and Environment (ADEME). Over 20 participants shared views and ideas about developments of airtightness requirements and testing in their country and at European level.
Since its inauguration in 2012, TAAC has initiated a number of studies on the evaluation and comparison of airtightness policies in Europe (see for instance “Leprince, V., Carrié, F., & Kapsalaki, M. (2017). Building and ductwork airtightness requirements in Europe – Comparison of 10 European countries. Proceedings of the 38th AIVC Conference “Ventilating healthy low-energy buildings”, Nottingham, UK, 13-14 September 2017 (pp. 192-201). AIVC”). It has been a very active forum to discuss issues such as qualification schemes, calibration, large buildings, durability etc. building on research developments in the countries represented.
