The Air Infiltration and Ventilation Centre (https://www.aivc.org/) & the IEA EBC Annex 86 “Energy Efficient Indoor Air Quality Management in Residential Buildings” (https://annex86.iea-ebc.org/) are organizing a workshop consisting of a series of four webinars on:
Detailed information on each event can be found at: https://www.aivc.org/events/webinars
The Air Infiltration & Ventilation Centre has just released Ventilation Information Paper no 41: Impact of wind on the airtightness test results. This paper aims to present and discuss the calculation method of standard ISO 9972 regarding the uncertainty induced by wind; gather published knowledge and determining what further research is needed on the quantification of the wind impact on airtightness tests results (including numerical simulations, laboratory and on-site measurements studies) and; give guidance for minimizing and better estimating the wind impact on airtightness tests results.

The 12th International BUILDAIR Symposium will take place on June 25 and 26, 2021 – as a bilingual online conference, in view of the corona situation. The meeting again offers an ambitious programme. Among other things, the presentations will deal with measuring techniques, gluing and sealing difficult details, minimizing the air permeability of materials, quality assurance for very technology-intensive objects and measuring technology for very tall buildings. At the end of the first day, the assessment of leaks is on the agenda and thus also the question of whether and when leaks can be tolerated. Summarizing, the programme brings many new insights and thinks outside the box.
We really want to make sure that you will have ample opportunity to talk to each other during the breaks and in the evening – despite the virtual setting: In our virtual BuildairLounge, you will be able to chat with each other almost like in real life.
Would you like to take part in the leading conference on airtightness? You can register until June 18, 2021, the participation fees and the detailed lecture program can be found at https://www.buildair.eu/.
